Peggy, Ellie, Helen, even Gloria!! Mayberry sure had some lookers! While all
are beauties in their own right, they don't hold a candle to, in my opinion,
one of the most beautiful women to grace Mayberry! Has everyone forgotten "One
Episode Mary?!"

I'm talking about the "Three's A Crowd" episode! (Which can be conveniently
found in the second season set from Weaver's!) Sue Ane Langdon was quite the
looker in that episode. I do have to say that Andy picked a "gooden" with her!
Too bad she was only in one episode! That southern accent, blond hair (as
blond as it can be in b/w), and pretty smile puts her at the top of my list in
my opinion!!

NOTE: There was also another episode with "nurse Mary" in which Rafe Hollister
wouldn't get his shot (Episode 56...The County Nurse). I'm assuming this was
the same character played by two different actresses. Does anyone know if
there was any dialogue in the two episodes to clarify the "theory?"

Several nights ago, I took my kid to one of those huge home repair places.
We were in a section that had lanterns, torches and other kerosene fueled
items. (My kid, 12 yrs old, is totally oblivious to Mayberry and related
stuff. She's never seen an episode as far as I know.) Anyways, here we are
in an aisle that has cans of kerosene and old-fashion lanterns and she
blurts out, "Dad, it smells like pickles here!"
Thinking that she made a reverse funny and had "finally arrived", I was a
bit disappointed to find out and see, that several yards away were two tots
in strollers and they were gnawing on huge pickles wrapped in paper towels!!
And here I thought that she finally had some Mayberry in her after all.

Oh well, you can't win them all.

re: "better phone him Al";
Close, Jim. But in MHO, "better dance with her, Al" is the primo line
from the "Lady Convicts" episode. !!!
Let's call it a tie, in the spirit of "the rules".

I finally got the see Howard go to his Island and
today I saw an episode about Emmett going into the insurance business that I
had never seen also.
Now I know where the tricky timers bit came from. And as far as I know this is
first time Emmetts' wife
is introduced. The next time (and possibly the last) will be when Emmett buys
her a gift.

I have got to send an email to my local station here to thank them for showing
all 8 seasons in order.
This will be the first time that I have been able to see every episode of the
series.
Altho they are not complete it is still better than no Andy at all.

Dapper Dan
Now you just take out those two little screws and that removes the timer.....

Congratulations!! Make sure Taylor gets spoon-fed a steady diet of TAGS and
she
will grow up to be an outstanding young lady. You're never too young for
TAGS!

I grew up a little before and during TAGS original television run. And we
have a barber shop down near the mill that was a classic Floyd-type shop,
except it had 3 chairs. Only 2 barbers, but 3 chairs. Actually my great
uncle seldom cut any hair so I guess you could say there was only 1 barber.
Lots of men talk and a pinball machine.

But I do clearly remember that it was not a place that women went. How many
women do we see ever go into Floyd's? Of course Ellen Brown and that lady
reporter that heard Andy telling Floyd the story of how he caught that carp.
Any other ladies ever enter that Mayberry male territory?
