Didn't Barney mention spending a certain amount of money (1.35?) on a
new shirt besides. I thought there was some mention of that, but I'll
stand corrected by a more thoroughly trained noticer.

At the end of the episode "Aunt Bee's Brief
Encounter" on the Season 2 dvds, Henry "Gold Brick"
Wheeler walks out on the porch to talk with Andy (who
is holding a shotgun). When Mr. Wheeler folds his
newspaper, the front page appears to read "KEATING
SENDS SECRET MESSAGE TO FRIEND"! Maybe someone else
can verify this. Wonder if this was a secret message
from one of the prop guys?

Re: It appears that Malcolm Tucker should be credited with the Nike
slogan of "Just Do It".
That gives me a great idea for a tee shirt: The front could have the
Nike symbol and a headshot of Mr Tucker saying "Just Do It!" The back
could list the various things to do: Go to Thelma Lou's for TV, etc...

I was watching the episode today with Gentleman Dan Caldwell, and noticed
something that I had never seen before. When this episode begins, good old
Barn has once again put a bullet in the floor, and is upset with himself. Andy
feels sorry for Barney because he is beating himself up, so Andy gives him
another bullet. I noticed later that when Barney was in the back room right
before Mr. Caldwell arrived, he did not have a badge on his uniform. Then a
few minutes later when Barney and Andy are at the courthouse doors and "Uncle
Dan" arrives the badge is back in place. It goes back and forth all through
this episode with Barney's badge being on and then off of his uniform??? Has
anyone else ever noticed this?
...when you send your shirt to the cleaners, remember to "unload"...

If apricots were a big item in the Mayberry scheme of things, (Apricot queen
n' all), I wonder if Wally carried a pop called "Apricot Blush"?
Huckleberry Smash
Nectarine Crush
Apricot Blush
Maybe Wally did but it wasn't mentioned. All three flavors sound like
winners to me.(and tasty too!)

I think Barney should also be credited for starting the movie "Planet of the
Apes" asi it must have been based on Mayberry, because remember Barney once
said, speaking of Mayberry, and I quote, "It's a jungle out there."

I guess a refined lady like Aunt Bee would not use such a low-brow word
as "sweaty".<<<<
As I understand it, horses sweat, men perspire, and ladies glow. I've been
doin' a lot of glowing lately.
