"Huckleberry Smash, Nectarine Crush, root beer and many others." I can just
see Mr Schwamp sipping his rootbeer while Floyd shampoos his rug.

I could use one of those cold drinks today. We're having air conditioning
problems at the office.

I understand she also appeared once on "Sugarfoot"...as none other than Annie

Don't forget, Barney invented the Atkins and South Beach Diets. Make sure
you avoid those foods that are "just loaded with carbohydrates and glucose!"

I thought I'd take it easy this afternoon and go down to the Grand and watch
them change the marquee for this weekend's show. Turns out it is one of
those "fun" horror flicks from a number of years ago called "Attack of the
Killer Tomatoes." Well, everything was going pretty well, they have even
found the 5 T's needed when Jud comes along and makes a comment about
"tomatoes" not being spelled right. He didn't think the "e" was supposed to
be there.

To settle things, everybody headed over to Foley's. After all, he's in the
business so he ought to know how produce is spelled. He told us that potato
and tomato were spelled the same way, they both end in 'o'. That didn't
help, because the discussion dealt with the plural. Turns out Foley has
"tomatoes" on a sign, but Jud told him that was wrong. Foley almost smacked
Jud with a flank steak when Jud said something about "selling stuff don't
make you an expert in how to spell it!" (You know how Jud can be sometimes.
He's at that age that he thinks his age allows him to say anything he
wants.)

I was getting tired of it all, so I turned in at Floyd's to see if he had
the new National Geographic yet. But the crowd, which now had grown to
include Foley, was determined to get to the heart of the matter, so the last
time I saw them, they were headed over to the schoolhouse mumbling something
about finding Miss Crump.

It's 3 hours later and they haven't come back. The ladder is still leaning
up against the marquee and it still says "Attack of the Killer Toma..."

Hi

I have been receiving your digest for some time now but I have never
replied. But when I saw the ones talking about the dishes I felt like I had
to. I am almost positive that they are Old Britian Castle dishes you can
get them in different colors like blue, pink, brown, and green. I have the
ones in the pink. I love them!!

*** Fifth Annual Squad Car Nationals and The Dillards ***

http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/anewsome/private/calendar.htm

The link above to the Mayberry.com calendar includes the press release
with all the information on this year's Mayberry Squad Car Nationals on
Saturday, July 30th. It is all Mayberry and will certainly be "a fun
time all around."

You should also check out the calendar to see if The Mayberry Deputy is
going to be at a ballpark near you.

For those of you close to Oakboro, NC - this Saturday, Doug and Rodney
Dillard and Maggie Mancuso are going to perform at the Oakboro Music
Hall. They put on a great show if you've never seen them live. Last
year they had a great Q&A and autograph session after each show.

information.

I got me a 10 lb block of cake ice and put it in a stainless steel pan. Took
an ice pick and chipped off a big hunk and put it in the dog's water bowl.
She's happy now. Time to close the curtains, darken the room and watch TV.
Just me and the dog, a large drinking glass, my ice and bottled drinks.
Nothing like drinks poured over chunk ice in a glass. Life is good. (I
wonder if TAGS is on?)

I also can not seem to get info from Morgantown on this festival. They
say it is going on but not much info. So hope it is successful. I do
plan to attend. I was to be on a mailing list for info and still
waiting. If I get more I will pass
it on.
