That towering milk or cream kinda reminds me of the steering column of
Barney's car when everything started to go bad on that first drive. OF
course that grea-zy snake in the column went way yonder beyond a couple
of incches.

We all laugh at this episode but there really is a Green River Ordinance.
Here's the story:

Hello Gang:
Having been a milkman in the 60's, we had the cardboard lids with the pull
tab. We had the glass gal., 1/2 gal. qt's. and 1/2 pt. bottles. I drove a truck
that you could drive sitting down or stand up, by pushing the seat under the
dash. I started out at 3:00 A.M. and usually got home at 6:00 P.M.
Seems like all dogs wanted to chase the milk trucks.

Re: You da man Pierre! You too George Spence!
And I would add that Andy's the man, too, based on following the logic
of the aforementioned post - and I'll tell you why. Andy had Susan
Oliver (almost) and Peggy - at least for awhile - and these round out
the top four of what I consider the - how shall I put this - most
attractive females of the show ( I was going to say hottest babes but
this is a family board).

More sparks with Peggy than with Helen?
What about the episode with Gloria? And when he called her a "third party"?
And Opie's wish that Barney thought they were to be married and it made her
all mad? And Dinner at Eight when she balled him out for being late? And When
she got angry with him for snooping into her background when they thought she
was a ganster? And when she accused him of wanting to be with Teena Andrews
instead of her? And with Lee Drake the lady lawyer? And when her neice puched
Opie and they got in an argument about her winning in bowling?
I bet there are more....

Ken Anderson - I always figured that Mayor Stoner took off from his
office about mid afternoon to get in a couple of hours of fishing which
is why he was still wearing his "mayor" clothes.
Attorney Bentley - We always assume that Aunt Nora, Uncle Ollie and the
boys drove their maroon two-door from Lake Charles, Louisiana. But Andy
distinctly tells Opie that some day they'll take a trip UP there to
visit. If it were a trip from NC to La, it would be DOWN not UP. At
least that's how it was back when I was in school.

Hi All: Where do we find Goober's Grab Bag of Stuff. I assumed it was from
Weavers Dept. Store but looked and didn't see it ... of course I am one of
those Maybery fun girls ... a blonde no less -- yes right out of a bottle) so
maybe I missed it. Skippy.
I have made my own donation to the folks in New Orleans and Missippi and they
are all in my prayers but I want to support and help them anyway I can so I
think it's great that proceeds of sales during Sept. are going to help benefit
them. What a neat way to Christmas shop for my friends and also help those in
need. Skippy ... aka Cathy

possible romance and why?

Have any of you seen the reference to TAGS in the September 4 - 10 edition of
TV Guide? In the crossword puzzle for 27 across the clue is: "____ ____ in
the bud", so of course those of us who are TAGS fans know that the answer is
"nip it" !!!
I too remember the days of home milk delivery, in fact I still have one of the
bottles (without the stopper of course) and the little wire carrier that would
hold 4 glass gallon jugs of milk. I wonder if they are antiques???
.........I wonder if "bud nippin" is considered a compelshion ??????? ........
