I was watching the Classic Arts station and one featured a pianist named
Istvan Szekely. If his name was pronounced Sha-kelly, that would be very close
to Teleky or however it was spelled. Since Andy had a musical background, maybe
that name was chosen and altered a little for effect. Anyway, it is a hoot
of a program!
See y'all at the Days THIS WEEKEND~!!!! WHEEEEEEEE!
My sympathies go to all who can't make it this year....

My husband and I won't be able to go to Mayberry Days this year. I would
like to know who wins the trivia contest this year, if somebody will let me
know.
Also, our 27th anniversary is Sept. 30th. I had one request for a gift and
that was the TAGS DVDs. I got a DVD player for my birthday (in April) and we
have not used it yet because we have no DVDs. I told my husband that all I
wanted was the TAGS DVDs this year and go online to Weaver's and get them,
which
he did. However, I am waiting until the 30th to open them.
Also, speaking of anniversaries, happy 2nd to Jennifer, the Mayberry bride.
Everyone have a good time at Mayberry Days and keep me up to date on the
trivial trivialities.

Marie inquired:
Does anyone know why the 2 different mayors were written out? I liked
both Mayor Pike and esp. Mayor Stoner and it wasn't right that there
wasn't a mayor after season 3.
I don't know so much about Mayor Stoner (maybe it's because the audience didn't
like him any more than the characters did) but the actor who played Mayor Pike,
Dick Elliott, died in December 1961.

Does anybody happen to know which movie was mentioned?
According to the "movie references" tab of "Beethoven's 3rd," "The Shakiest Gun
in the West" was mentioned.

I wanted to let everyone know that they can go to: www.tvguide.com and vote for
a TAGS tv guide cover. Just go to the website and scan down under the Emmy
news on the right of the page and you will see a Cover Gallery Vote area. Of
course when I saw this, I was in great hopes that TAGS would be one of the many
covers to choose from and I was correct. I know many of us will agree that the
TAGS cover should win!!! Hope everyone has a great time at Mayberry Days!!!

When Cathy from Ohio mentioned her Methodist Church picnic, "The Gathering",
I couldn't help but think of Ron Howard's wedding and the Methodist
connection. Ron and Cheryl's wedding day was June 7, 1975 at Magnolia Park
Methodist
Church in Burbank, California. They had quite a "gathering" as well. Three
hundred guests squeezed into a two hundred seat sanctuary. Potsie and Malph
were ushers. Andy Griffith, Don Knotts, and Tom Bosley were among the guests,
not to mention Rance and Clint Howard. If they have a wedding guest book, it
must be a Who's Who of Hollywood signature collection.

I am going to try to go to the festival in Hillsdale, Ky this weekend.
George "Goober" Lynsey will be there along with Lulu Roman and Ken
Melons. It looks fun. Is anyone else going?

I know this has been mentioned before, but since I had an old phone, I didn't
pay attention to the phone ring info (hope Miss Crump doesn't make me stay
after school for not paying more
attention). I now have a new phone with all the bells and whistles, and would
like to install TAGS cell phone rings.
Can the dear soul who shared that info before, do so again? You'd make Rev.
Martin and me real proud of you!
Thank ya',

Warren was good, but I think Barney has more brains, and possibly Warren has
more guts, everybody knows how timid Barney was, until it got right down to
it.
Jerry Van Dyke woulda been good tho as well. He's been in almost all of
Andy's movies.
Andy was in a movie one time tho, where he played the bad guy. he was in
some sort of a murder for hire plot, and got tried for it, and executed at
the end of the movie.
they didn't show him being put in the chair, but they showed his head shaved
before he was to go.
Anybody remember what move that was.
I ain't gonna watch it tho, just wandered what it was.
I can't imagine Andy playin a bad guy.

Hey folks,
Sorry I'm late with this and I hope folks get to read it before they
leave for Mayberry Days.
The members of the Who's Been Messin' Up the Bulletin Board Chapter will
be meeting following the Mayberry Days Trivia Contest for our annual
Mayberry Days photo and a chance for everybody to meet one another face
to face. This is always a great time for the crew to say "hey" to folks
they've talked to over the years by e-mail but may never have seen in
person.
So....be at the Trivia Contest, you wouldn't want to miss that anyway,
and then "Floyd" will let you know where the WBMUTBB Meeting will be
held along with the photo. Last years photo can be see in The eBullet
Archives for the October 2004 issue (the link is below).

See you in Mayberry!!! (I'll be the nut dressed up like "Floyd.")
