Frank played the town drunk (different name) in the "Danny Thomas Show"
pilot, and played one of Otis' cellmates when Otis decided to take his
"business"
out of town. I still don't see how the writer could've been confused by that,
though.

His was pretty severe by all accounts, and at least one article suggested it
just about killed him. Andy worked very hard to get over it that, and
apparently felt good enough to start another long-running series ("Matlock")
when he
felt better.

That hurricane will be a hard one to track. If Otis is anything like its
TAGS namesake, no one will know which way it is going. But whatever way it
goes, I hope it just goes to sleep somewhere and doesn't do any damage to
land, animals, or people. :) Lisa

To all you Mayberry experts. I was watching "Aunt Bee, the Warden" and
often wonder why Andy had his hand bandaged. Does anyone know the real
reason for it? Was it truly injured or was it done as part of the
script? What caused the injury, if it was for real? Did it happen on
stage or in his private life?
I was just sitten here with my thinking bucket over my head. Any
insight into this would be interesting to me. Thanks!
You are the one for puttin' a glow in a man's day.

HelloFellow Mayberrian,
I went to the Elton John concert Friday night in Nashville. Wow!!!
When we left I looked up and noticed in front of us the back of a white car,
it had the Barney bumper sticker ( This car protected by FIFE) and they also
had the license plate cover that says ( I'd rather be watching Andy
Griffith). When I saw that I was screaming , Yes!!!, me too.( except when
Elton is in town, ha) I was wondering if it was someone from the digest?
I am very sorry to hear about Miss. Jean's stroke. I will pray for
her. I hope Tracey puts up the address and I will send her a card. When we
went to the 2nd Mayberry in the Midwest we were in the room next to them and
had a great time chatting with them. My husband and I were thrilled to meet
her and Tracey.
Gomer says ,Hey!!

I've picked up on a rumor that ANDY GRIFFITH died. Is this true, or just
another hoax?
Thanks, GARRY
