  Lydia,

After referring to the Episode Guide on Mayberry.com, I can verify that
Elinor Donahue appeared in episodes 6, 7 ,9, 11, 12, 14, 19, 20, 22, 24, 27
and 31 for a total for 12, all in year 1.

Miss Ellie was in 12 episodes, according to Allan's
cast member database lookup at:

***I don't know if this question has been asked before, but how many episodes
did Elinor Donahue appear in as Ellie Walker?

I think I remember reading somewhere that Ms. Donohue appeared in 3 episodes.
***

I actually counted 12. Not as many as I thought, but more than 3 for sure.
Her first appearance is
"Ellie Comes to Town" and her last appearance is "The Guitar Player Returns."

To all you lucky ducks who live near Mt. Airy and Raleigh and can attend
Mayberry Days should enjoy it when you can. To get vacation time and flights
and rooms from all the way across the country in Montana is one of our dreams.
One of these days we'll make it happen - just one reason we enjoy the BB so
much - makes us feel connected to all the wonderful fans out there! Until
then, lotsa luck to you and yours...

I enjoy all the posts concerning parents raising their children to watch
TAGS as well as the people who were children at the time of the show's original

airing. This isn't the case with me. I discovered it in syndication in 1978
through my father who was divorced from my mother (Divorce, Mountain Style). My
mother doesn't have a clue about TAGS. She was dissing Don Knotts a few ago,
but I defended his honor. It's a shame too, because she was born near
Uniontown, Pennsylvania, which is only about 45 minutes from Don's hometown of

Morgantown, West Virginia. Goodnight Nurse!
