I think I joined the list in 1998. Not sure exactly when. But the funny
thing is, the same year (I think) I joined the bluegrass list (bgrass-l),
which is also having an anniversary this month, and it is also the 14th
anniversary! Some of you may be on both lists like I am. I mentioned this
list on the bgrass-l and two people expressed interest in joining this list.
I sent them info on how to sign up. Well, happy anniversary to the list!
I'm glad to be a part of it! :) Lisa

Just a note to say Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
Wishing each one of you a Holiday of special blessings, and wonderful times
shared with your families.
I've got my pies baked ( got the recipes from Emma ) and my veggies all
ready for stirring into the casseroles tomorrow, the turkey and ham are ready
for
carving...but, no pickles! Oh, I know Foley's market is closed now...wonder
if Aunt Bee has a jar or two left she might share?
Shhhhhhh, now, only sip a little after dinner..no guzzlin'!
After all, it IS a true Holiday, not National Potato Day!
So thankful for so many things....and thankful for this little corner of the
world that always makes me smile.
Blessings to all,
jaywalkin' joan in NC

I've tried to figure out just how long I've been a member. I've been
through several computers and e-mail addresses so it's hard to say. I'm
sure it's been at least 5 years. I'm still waitin for my engraved watch!
Anyhow, it's been a real thrill to meet the members through their posts and
folks like Allan and Jim at Mayberry events. My wife and I just made it to
our first Mayberry Days this year. I don't post here often though I've been
spending a little time trying to help get the Yellow..err..Golden Door to
Good Fellowship community going. I feel like I know so many of you by
reading your submissions and I absolutely love the creativity and warmth
that fills each digest. I hesitate to mention anyone personally for fear of
leaving anyone out but The Untrained Voice, a fellow Hoosier by the way,
Harriett, Anita, Lydia, our several Aunt Bees, Emmett, Neil Bentley,
Albert's advertising, Paul's facts and so many more of you make each episode
of the digest one of the bright spots of my day. Happy Anniversary to the
digest, Happy Thanksgiving to you all and a great big THANKS to Allan for
all you do to keep us together.

Maurice the Mortician/TV fixit man's hearse appeared far as I know once on
TAGS.
anybody know where I can get a pic of the whole car.
If so I would like to post it up in the PCS site's forum as they were
looking for hearses in movies/TV at one time in a thread.
