Is it any doubt that what the cast always has said was true - that Howard
McNear was the funniest guy on the set. There are just so many brilliant
bits of work he man put on the screen. They quite often were just so subtle
and understated. It takes a good actor to pull that off. And Howard was
one.

I'm a little surprised that they added "Goober" to the art work and never
chose to use Floyd the barber, who, up to this point (season 5), was a much
more significant character on the show.
Why Mike, why would you ask such a question?? Maybe they are making up for
another time when he wasn't given credit? LOL! "Your Real Funny" even
though your not a sheriff.

Hi, all...long time lurker, first time poster here.
I always found it odd that when in uniform, Barney
always wore a regular tie. However, when out of
uniform, Barney always wore bowties. I guess what
with wearing that regular tie all the time he just
didn't feel dressed up without the ol' bowtie on.

Allan,
I must have missed the issue with the Christmas card.
Will you relist how to get to it? Thanks and Happy Holidays.

Merry Christmas!!! Here is the 2005 online Christmas card for you that missed
it from the Newsome's.
"It's a Mayberry Life"
http://mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/anewsome/private/christmascard2005.html
I hope you enjoy it. It's pretty big so you may have to wait for the download.
The card/movie is about 2 minutes and 10 seconds long.
Sorry to send it again to everybody but at least a couple of folks had asked
for it. Thanks to everybody that said they enjoyed the card. Merry
Christmas!!!!

Just want to say Merry Christmas to everyone or how about "Mayberry"
Christmas to all.
I read Don Knott's book again last week while drinking hot tea from my "Nip
It" mug. If you don't have the book, I got it at Weaver's. (And the mug, too.)
It's a very entertaining book about his life.
Also, I don't want to be pushy, but if any of you ever travel on I-70 through
Ohio, my store is located 8 miles east of Zanesville (an hour east of
Columbus). Stop and say hi. My website is colonialcottage.net. I have this
and
that and different things. You don't have to buy anything cause if there's
anything I hate it's a pushy salesman. I'd just like you to say hello and
visit.
Lots of luck to you and yours for the New Year.
