Maurine, a big congratulations to Abigail Marie Taylor (and to you and
hubby as well)! "Intoned"? Sounds like YOUR education was worth every
penny too.

Rance Howard played a doctor on Laverne and Shirley when Shirley was trying
to find out if she was adopted.

And since L&S was a spin-off of Happy Days with Ron Howard, let's see,
that's 2 Degrees of Separation to TAGS. No wait, since Rance was also on
TAGS, that's 1 Degree of Separation. No wait, since Rance and Ron were
together as father and son even before TAGS, that's zero Degrees of
Separation. No wait, I may have to run this through the computation
machines down at the bank.

Mike:

why the surprise. Look at the very first DVD in the series. Why is it in
color when when it should have been in a black & white/sepia type tone.
Paramount does not know the product that well.

TAGS fans,

'Been watching the fourth season and, most of the
time, I've been well into an episode before it even
registered on me that it was missing the laugh track.
Then, it was more of a curiosity than something to
complain about (or even enjoy; it's weird, but not
much more). What struck me as strange was on "The
Sermon for Today" when the laugh track cut out
half-way through. That was much stranger than a whole
episode without.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

I love it when Floyd writes and sings "Miss Mayberry, Miss Mayberry" (to
the tune of "Oh Christmas Tree" incidentally).

Merry Christ-mas to Goobers,
I just wanted to mention a Mayberry moment.
Frank and I usually take a grandchild to lunch with us each Sunday. We take
them by turns.
This past Sunday it was our fifteen year old granddaughter's turn. As we
were leaving the restaurant, Frank made a U-Turn in the crowded parking lot.
>From the back seat came the voice of our granddaughter, saying "Citizen's
Arrest!" She comes from a second generation, Mayberry believing family!!
You All have a Mayberry Day (As well as a Mayberry Christmas!)

Could someone please send me the original message titled "Things not in
Mayberry" I was looking for it to show to some people that I work with and
I apparently deleted it by mistake. Thanks.

Allan, thanks for the wonderful "Maybery/It's a Wonderful Life Christmas"
card. My 2 favorite forms of television viewing and you managed to roll it
all in to one. Thank you.

Hope eveyone here on the digest has a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a BLESSED NEW
YEAR

Kim

I purchased the book, My so-called career in Hollywood, due to it mentioning
Tags. The author, E. Klass is a writer for different shows through the years
and it is an honest, funny & great book about the different people and
situations he found himself in while dealing with stars & the t.v. shows he
worked on.

This man is VERY honest about the stars he has met and tells it like it is.
The one man he did have nice things to say about is, yup you guessed it,
Andy Griffith. Here is an except from the book concerning meeting Andy
Griffith on the set of Mayberry while the author was being interviewed for a
possible script writing. There is other information given concerning Andy
Griffith but this passage below, to me, says it all.

" Howdy boys!" I looked up and saw Andy Griffith waving as he walked over,
all smiles. "Welcome to Mayberry." Andy shook my hand eagerly and looked me
dead in my eyes. In that instant I could see clear into his soul. He was the
genuine article, bereft of ego and attitude. He was completely unaffected.
Honest. Pure. A man of his word. In short, someone who had no business being
in the business. I liked him at once.

The book is so funny and well worth the read. I do hope E. Klass writes
another one as he mentions he will at the end of the book. I could not put
this book down. Loved it.

Pauline

Been right busy for the last week and haven't checked it, but I'm sure glad I
did today.

Allan,
The card is great. Thank you.

I'm not computer savy enough to make a card, but a friend and I do have a
Department 56 Snow Village. Another friend took pictures, and yet another
friend set up a webpage. I'll offer it as my card.

http://www.wendywestie.com/snowvillage.html

PS Mayberry folk haven't moved in, but the Andersons--Princess, Bud and
Kitten--live behind the Tom Sawyer house in picture 5. Guess my Snow Village
is before TAGS. Ellie's still a high school student.
