Thank U for explaining about the HTML problem. I do use fancy
signatures, some animated, on my emails & I know the digest won't accept
them. I'd never use stationery for an email here for that same reason.

Michael, thanks for the reports on Mt. Helen Crump. Dan Rather
interrupted my soap opera the other day with news of that the other day.
Hope you & yours stay safe.

I just want to say thanks to Al for helping me out. I was one of members
who was having trouble sending postings. I am using a new incredimail e
mail software and Al helped me to get send my postings in plain text. Aren
t we lucky to have such a friendly person at WBMUTBB.

The message I was trying to post was an Otis sighting. Otis appeared on a
Brady Bunch episode. He was in charge of an ice cream eating contest.
Perhaps this is where he got his training to sell the ice cream he sold in

Thanks to all who provided detailed accounts of Mayberry Days. Alas, we
couldn't go this year, but fortunately our tickets found some great homes,
and I know those
those folks (Donna and Shirley) had a grand time. We're already getting
set for next year with a room at the Maxwell House. If anybody has had
experience with that B&B let me know. It looks very nice. In the past,
we've usually stayed at the Microtel.

Finally, all of the hoopla surrounding Andy' s visit to Mayberry Days this
year, made me reflect a bit on how centered the "big" Mayberry gatherings
are on the key personalities. Certainly those appearances have been a
highlight for us. Since the day cannot be far off when a lot of these
folks will simply be gone or wanting a well-deserved retirement from public
appearances, I hope that such gatherings can in a sense be "reinvented." I
hope that the spirit of Mayberry can continue to draw everyone together
even when autographs, celebrities, and "news of cast and crew" can no
longer serve as the centerpiece. I'd like to think that ten years from
now, if my wife Janet and I are in the mood to travel in late September, I
could show up in Mt. Airy and still find the fun and fellowship that for me
is what makes the trip worth it! Hey to everyone!!! Mark in Missouri

Can anyone give me the source and context of the quote "You'd better gird up
your loins, mister, because your gonna have a fight on your hands." If that is
not the correct quote, please correct it. I think Barney said it, but can't
remember when or why. Thanks.

I wanted to let members of TAGSRWC know that I have acquired several of the
Martin D18 Andy Griffith Signature guitars, and will make them available to
TAGS members at a BIG savings. Oh, big ain't the word for it! These guitars
are the exact replica of the Martin guitar that Andy played on the show, and
each numbered guitar (there were only 311 produced) includes a genuine
autograph from the man himself! Add to that the fact that Martin guitars are
such great investments, I felt like it was the best of both worlds! These
guitars list for $3699, and I have 10 of these guitars (brand new, never
played) that I will sell to TAGS members for $2800, including the hard-shell
case made just for this guitar. There is no tax involved, only shipping
costs....You guys should hear these guitars. Mine makes me
cry!....336-427-6325, 336-548-1390.
