When Barney got gassed----When Miss Middlebrite threw him out of is
room.--When he was going to record Otis in jail, i belive that was his
worst. When Andy played it back Baney and Otis where singing "Sweet
Idaline"--<---= spelling not sure----and When the Darlings tried to
marry off Charlenes baby to Opie when she grew up-------Hank

Responding to Anne Johanson's site, I miss teaberry gum. No one told me it
wouldn't be around for the rest of my life. A candy shop in Ocean City, MD,
has teaberry salt water taffy. It's close, but it isn't the same.

Barney also got gassed when the Darlin's brought over some "mulberry
squeezins". I love that one. Andy tells Barney he can't drink since
he's on duty. Barney says that they said it was just mulberry
squeezins. Then he takes a gulp, coughs and says something like, "Yeah,
that's all they are. Mulberry squeezins." Then he goes on to get
really gassed.
(1)IN EPISODE WHEN OPIE WAS PART OF AN SECRET CLUB IN WHICH OPIE AND HIS
FRIENDS WERE BLAMED FOR BARN FIRE CAUSED BY THE OWNER OF SUCH WHO WAS AN
MOONSHINER.BARNEY THINKING HE WAS DRINKING WATER ACCIDENTLY DRANK SOME
SHINE RESULTING IN HIS GETTING GASED.
(2) WAS WHEN OTIS SPIKED THE WATER IN THE COUTRHOUSE BOTH BARNEY AND THE
MAYOR GOT FULL TANKED GASED.

Congratulations, Teresa! I will share that a couple of weeks ago the
local antique car show folks hosted a 50's night at the mall and it was
packed. They had a costume contest for best 50's costume and my brother
"Wally" AKA Mayberry Mike won first place dressed in his Wally's outfit
- old Texaco service uniform. I was so proud!

I can recall several occasions when Ole' Barn gets a snoot full.
1. When Opie was being promised to Andylina. (Mulberry Squeezin's )
2. When Otis spiked the water urn. (The Govenor's Visit)
3. At Jubal Foster's (Jubal, Jubal, Jubal......Jubal)
4. When Ms. Mendlebright threw him out of her boading house. (Ms.
Bendlemright)
5. When Otis hurt his knee and was suing the county. (Taped evidence)
Those were the only ones I can remember.
