>>>Clara was given to different last names throughout TAGS. She was Clara
Johnson in the early episodes and later was Clara Edwards.
Johnson was her married name (see "The Pickle Story.") After her husband's
death, she went back to using her maiden name of Edwards. BTW, during the
first season she was called Bertha, not Clara. Maybe that's her middle
name.

Six of us form TennesseeTAGS met in Jackson, Tennessee, yesterday at
the Old Country Store and had a wonderful time. That was already a
Mayberry moments, but what made it even more so was when we are all
milling around the Old Country Store after lunch shopping. Suddenly a
couple of us heard someone not with our group say, "Don Knotts" out
loud. Talk about your ears perking up! The two of us closest made our
way over (not very discreetly) to find out what the big moulage was all
about. Turns out he had one of those cards with facts about your birth
year. The 1924 one mentioned Don Knotts was born that year.

Does your friend have a web site for his tv memorabilia store? I'd love to
see it if he does.

In a recent digest, someone mentioned Teaberry gum, one of my favorites. Since
then I've seen Teaberry, Blackjack and Beamans in Target. Also I saw
Blackjack, Beamans and Clove in Albertsons. I think both Target and Albertsons
are nation wide, but I'm not sure. Truthfully, I'd rather stroll down to
Foley's market for a pack.
Hope this helps and we can all quit chewing those branches.
