"I would love to read your paper, sounds great.
I too come from southern heritage and appreciate the down home humor and
appreciation for that lifestyle."
Any chance you could post it for those of us interested?

My favorite TAGS lines to use are: No coffee, tea or punch, thank you;
How do you do Mrs. Wiley?; Shazam; I smell gas, do you smell gas?; and
every day when I leave work as I pass the receptionist on the way out, I
say "Good Evenin".

All the items suggested were good, but the problem is that Barney ate all the
Mr. Cookie bars but can still wear the salt 'n' pepper. Goober still wears the
beanie, Gomer still wears the tie but Mary Grace lost the corsage. Winkin's
great, great grandchildren are in the cage. Old Sam was finally re-caught and
is back on exhibit. The band still wears the uniforms, except the mildewey
ones which were remade into cleaver crafts and sold during a benefit bazaar.
Howard's ship sank, Mr. Darling still jugs, Ernest T still throws every rock he
can find and Helen's book has been on the Mayberry Best Seller's list since
it's release. Morelli's re-use the menus, they just mark through the old
price. Floyd's barber chair now bears a plaque with inspirational Calvin
Coolidge quotes, as well as the immortal slogan "Tippecanoe and Tyler Too".
My vote would be for a jar of Aunt Bee's pickles because they are the only
items around still in abundance, and still in their original condition.

Merry Christmas Everybody!!
I have added some new stuff to the Mayberry Emporium web site.
New animation cells from a cartoon starring Andy Griffith.
An Original TV Guide from the early 60's.
An original script from Season 1 of TAGS.
Rare "Songs/Themes from the Andy Griffith Show" LP
2 complete lobby cards sets (Angel in my Pocket, Apple Dumplin' Gang)
8 Hamilton plate collection w/each plate signed by the artist Robert
Tanenbaum
Some great new Mayberry Diecast Vehicles.
More great stuff. I just can't remember it all. And by the way, if you see
something at the Emporium you are interested in, make 'ol Bet an offer. You
never know. You might catch him in a generous mood!!
On the home page there is a link to a neat game called the "Whatzits?"
contest. There is a series of drawings and all you have to do is tell me what
they are. The person who gets the most right answers will win some neat
Mayberry
goodies.
As always, please do all of your Mayberry shopping at Weaver's Department
Store _http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/weavers/_
(http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/weavers/) . By shopping at Weaver's you make
a lot of great things
possible for us Mayberry Fans.
Then if you are still looking for something else, stop by the Mayberry
Emporium and say "Howdy". If nothing else stop by and play "Whatzits?"

P.S. I also added a tribute page for Dennis Beal of Knoxville, TN who was
recently crowned "King if Mayberry"

I think this may have been mentioned a while back, but I have seen one
neat piece of Mayberry memorabilia on display. When I visited Planet
Hollywood in Orlando a few years back, they had one of Barney's
uniform shirts (genuine whiplash cord, complete with badge) on display
in a frame over one of the stairways. The shirt looked a little small
for an adult, but then Barney was wiry -- it was a mark of the Fifes.
I guess if the shirt ever gets torn, they can take it over to Aunt Bee
in Orlando and she can mend it with one of those stick-on patches,
like she uses on Opie's jeans. I'd like to see Barney's
salt-and-pepper suit somewhere, but he's probably still wearing it on
Saturday nights -- it never goes out of style and it's just perfect
for dancing. Hangs just right for the dip, y'know!
Opie, what're you doing now?
I'm having a tantrum!
Oh. Well, don't get your clothes dirty.
