Bob you're a little bit sneaky. Would your TV "star" who made a one episode
cameo appearance on TAGS happen to have been Lassie?

Let's, see, who might have been on CBS from 1954 to 1971? My vote goes to
Ed Sullivan.

Hello All,
This has been bugging me for a long time and I'm hoping someone can
help me out.
On tvland they've been showing a commercial advertising the tvland
awards. They show Henry Winkler, John Schnieder, Ted danson and a few
more. Anyway at the end of these commercials they show a dark skinned
woman. In one commercial she talks about I dream on jeannie, in another
one she sings part of the brady bunch theme song. Anyway, does anyone
know who she is? She looks so familiar but I just can't place her. It's
been driving me crazy! :-)
Thanks in advance for your help,

That is Raven Symone who played Olivia on the Cosby Show the last year or two

Subject: Bob's Trivia Question
Date: Mon, 9 Feb 2004 09:38:32 -0600
With Bob's hint it now appears we have three choices for the answer to his
question about who appeared in a cameo role on TAGS who had another show on
CBS at the time. It's either:
A) Red Skelton
2) Ed Sullivan
C) Jackie Gleason
Both Red and Ed's shows lasted until 1971 and apparently Jackie's show ended
in 1970, so C may not be the right answer, but for the life of me, I have no
idea which episode Bob is talking about as I can't recall any of them
popping up...it must have been an episode involving TV, such as Aunt Bee's
cooking show, or maybe Keevy Hazelton's show (although I think that was in
the season earlier).
Curious...

Re: This TV star had a self-named series on CBS from 1954-1971
Ed Sullivan had a self-titled series on CBS from 1955-1971 ((t was
called "Toast of the Town" from 1948-1955). Is that close enough? I
really can't remember seeing Mr Sullivan on TAGS, though. "The Red
Skelton Show" was also on CBS from 1954-1970, but that doesn't mesh
with your dates, either.

I have wanted to go to the myberry days in new castle but i'm not sure by their
website if it's mandatory to order tickets to meet the stars or is that just
for a signing with them indoors.
Do you get a chance to meet and sign with them outside during the day?
Can anyone give me details of the days activities.
Oh and yes i saw andy cheat the other night too at checkers, lol.

"Harvey" is my very favorite movie. My favorite quote is, in part, "In this
world you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant. For years I was smart. I
recommend pleasant." (I hope I got that right. I don't have time right now to
review the movie.)
Anyway, I think Andy preferred pleasant to smart. For years he tried to teach
Barney that you go not so much by the head, but by the heart.

Susan,
That would be Raven Symone (spelling of last name might not be right).
Anyway, she is the now grown-up woman who was the child who played Olivia on
The
Cosby Show. She now has her own show on Disney called, "That's so Raven." My
kids are crazy about that show. Hope that helps.

She's the actress who played Denise Huxtable's step daughter Oliva on "The
Cosby Show". I am not sure of her real name. Barb314

This young woman is Raven who played Olivia on the Cosby show. She now has her
own show on Disney, that my 13 year old likes called "that's so Raven".

Congratulations to Anthony Sizemore for guessing Lassie as the cameo to
my trivia question. Remember, although it was tricky, I only used the
words TV star and actor, of which Lassie was both. I believe CBS loaned
her out to TAGS at the time.
Now, anyone remember which episode it was?

Susan, you must not have pre-teens/teens who watch The Disney Channel
incessantly like my daughter does. That young woman is Raven-Symone, currently
starring in "That's So Raven" on the Disney Channel. She was the cute little
Olivia on The Cosby Show back in the 80's.

I laughed at the analogy between the Riflemans bullet in his pocket and
Barney's pocket bullet.
Actually if you watch the episodes you see that the Rifleman has a pocket full
of bullets where Barney
has only one. The Rifleman had to carry spare ammo somewhere and since he
didnt wear a sixgun with a
gun belt to stash ammo in, it was evidently handy to stuff his pockets with
bullets. I always wondered how
he was able to afford all that ammo from just his farm income. Ammo was pretty
expensive in those days
and most people used their ammo sparingly. Not the Rifleman, he just blazes
away lol.
Dapper Dan
Take that gun outta your mouth.
