Thanks so much for all the comments on shows, etc.!! First, it helped me get
through the loss of my sister and now it gives me a few moments escape into a
better time as my wife, Carol, undergoes chemo for leukemia. For just a few
minutes a day I can get away from the cares of the world and go back to a
simpler time when everything worked out all right!
What a difference it makes to have Mayberry in you heart and mind, to bring
back memories of a "simpler time, a sweeter place."
Thank you all...

Hi everyone,

I just happened to catch the episode last night where Andy saves Gomers life
when the fillin station goes up in smoke (or almost)..."And there I'd lay,
burnt to a turn, completely dead." Anyway, at the end, when Andy is setting up
the scenario where Gomer will save his life, I noticed the bottom of the cell
doors. The food tray is actually at the bottom of the door. I had never seen
that before. Having worked in the law enforcement field for 23 years now, I
don't ever remember seeing the food tray at the bottom of a jail door, but it
makes sense. Just food for thougt (pardon the pun).
