for today was what Continent had the most lightning strikes. The answer was
Africa. The reason must be because of all those giraffes. BARNEY was right.

I printed a copy of the eBullet and took it to my wife in the hospital and
she was cheered by it very much! Things are on the upward swing at present but
not out of the woods yet. A downturn is coming first before it gets
better....leukemia is no fun for anyone!!
I notice Ernest T is scheduled for several events this year so guess he is
doing much better now and back on the road. Happy to see that, as entertaining
has been his entire life! When he was at Mayberry Days a couple years ago I was
wearing my cap showing I had served on Midway Island while in the Navy, and
he told me he was also on Midway way back in '43, which was also after the
Battle of Midway. If he shows up this year, and if I am able to show up this
year,
I am going to print him some photos of the Gooney birds. Isn't that
appropriate! maybe his crazy walk goes back to the days of watching gooneys!!

I was watching Matlock last night with my wife when we both enjoyed a TAGS
moment! Andy, uhhh, Ben, was grilling some bad guy about how his car had
broken down near the scene of the crime, when Andy (Ben) said with a smile, "I
have the records where Wally's Garage picked it up, then the car was towed
over there to Wally's Garage!" I almost expected him to say the car was towed
to Wally's Garage over there in Mayberry! This episode also featured Don
Knotts in a brief cameo appearance. Another one of those occasions where
Matlock and TAGS cross paths!

This is Tuesday and I hope everyone's weekend went okay! I haven't posted
here in a while, but a thought came to me when I was watching the RFD episode
of Andy and Helen getting married. Why wasn't Thelma Lou at A and H's wedding?
She and Barney had hoped and planned for Andy and Helen's tying the knot for
years, though every time they planned it, it was a false alarm. Was Thelma Lou
just too busy with her new husband to come back to Mayberry for the wedding? I
find it odd that TL missed it because she and Helen were best friends.

Sorry, had to use NC since I live overseas and states here have 3 letters in
their abbreviations. I'm really in Queensland in Australia but have roots in
Greensboro, NC where my parents still live. I married my husband during a back
packing expedition 'round the world and ended up here in his hometown. Now
that our 2 boys are older (12 and 8) and with the introduction of DVD, TAGS
became available for them to see. I wanted them to see some wholesome
entertainment
and was a bit nostalgic myself. It took a second viewing before they came
around but now they enjoy the shows too.
The one thing wrong with them is they do not have the original theme song - a
bitter disappointment and quite annoying. Does this mean they are not legal
copies? I know a property developer here that uses the theme song for their
advertising - so have they bought the rights for Australasia and the DVDs
aren't
allowed to use it? I feel ripped off. We mute the sound and I whistle as best
I can to cover but it just isn't the same.
