Didn't the Baldwin Sisters live up around Walton's Mountain? I think local
Mayberry hooch was supplied by the Morrison Sisters, at least for holidays.
Jannifer and Clara Belle loved their flowers! As did Otis.

I'm sure its' been discussed B4, but while watching the episode where Barney
and Gomer get lost in the woods searching for Opie, a gray haired gentleman
pulls up in a truck and passes out bows & arrows to the kids. Andy calls him
"Fletch", but in the escaped convict episode, he's "O'Malley", and that's his
place that the cons are held up in. Maybe his name is Fletch O'Malley. That
actor also played a judge in several b&w Perry Mason episodes. What was his
name? I'm sure he's dead by now. Was he in anymore TAGS episodes than those 2?

Happy Birthday to Ron Howard, who turned 50 on March 1. He celebrated his
birthday on the TAGS set back in the 1960s. He celebrated his 32nd on the set
of
'Return to Mayberry' with the cast in 1986.
Just think, when Andy was 50 he voiced 'Frosty's Winter Wonterland.' When Don
Knotts was 50, he was working on 'The Apple Dumpling Gang.' When Jim Nabors
was 50, he appeared as deputy to Burt Reynolds' sheriff in that movie with
Dolly Parton in 1982. Frances Bavier was just a little over 50 when she
appeared
on 'The Day the Earth Stood Still.' I think it's downright nifty that Opie has
turned 50!

Hey, James Hay from Lake Charles:

Just wondering if you know Aunt Bee's sister Nora and her husband Ollie? I
wonder if Ollie ever found that spindle wrench that the foreman sent him for
just at quittin' time? How's the blacktop parking holdin' up for the help
at the gasworks? I imagine Roger and Bruce are all growed up with families
of their own now.

Welcome to the club (it's almost as exclusive as the Esquire Club)!

Keith in Nebraska

Opie: Aunt Bee, Roger just put his foot in the pit of my back!
*********
Ollie: Nora forgot my goose-down pillow.

"Hey" to Jerry Priddy! He has been a member in good, GOOD standing over at

In our home, I'm the big TAGS fan and I've been introducing my husband to it.
Last night he went outside to smoke and I heard him whisteling the theme from
the show.

I have a suggestion for puppy names for John in Ohio. Maybe your doggie will
display traits similar to someone on the show. If he's serious, Howard would
be a good name. If he's kinda nutty, Gomer or Goober. If he's overly thirsty,
Otis. There are a lot of great possibilities.

I have to tell you what happened to me at the local Wal-Mart (where I am a
cashier). A policeman started to come to my lane to be waited on and another
cashier didn't know; so she asked him to come to her lane. We all were kind
of laughing and I started saying Citizen's Arrest! Citizen's Arrest to the
policeman (don't know what came over me). We all were just dying laughing and
the policeman informed me that I watched too much Andy Griffith. We both
agreed he did to or he wouldn't have known what I was talking about. Maybe I
do watch too much; I don't think so; there are some days I don't get to watch
at all.
