Hey Folks,
I spoke with Jean on Thursday after a successful operation. She says she is
tired but relieved that the surgery is over. She wants to thank everyone for
the good thoughts and prayers in her behalf. She is expecting to be moved to
the
hospital's recovery wing very soon.
Keep those thoughts and prayers going!
Gary

Although we know Mayberry was not a materialistic culture, there were times
when each character referred to a prize possession. Can you recall some?
I remember Barney referred to his father's rock - prized because his father
struck matches on it. Andy, in addition to his National Geographic collection,
had his fishing pole Eagle Eye Annie. Would Aunt Bee's be her beautiful bed
jacket?

Greetings,
Just a quick note to let everyone know that we have a few new items on the
Mayberry Emporium web site.
New DVD's including the "Andy & Helen Get Married" and "Andy's Baby". We also
uncovered a great TV show from 1991 featuring Mayberry Stars that were in
Nashville for a reunion show at Opryland. You can see and hear Jack Prince
(Rafe
Hollister) sing "Look Down That Lonesome Road" What a voice!
On the "Other Stuff" page there are 2 new CD's. One is a great interview done
with Andy in 1978. Great stuff here. Also there is a synopses CD with a
detailed account of all 249 episodes of TAGS. All are done in a PDF file (Adobe
Reader software is included) that includes episode synopses, stars, guest
stars,
writer(s) and director. There are also biographies of Andy Griffith, Don
Knotts, Ron Howard and Francis Bavier. As a bonus on this CD there are 23 High
Resolution color and BW photos from the show.
We still have several free items hidden on the site including the hard back
book "Mayberry - My Hometown" by Steven Spignesi and a signed trading card by
George "Goober" Lindsey.
As always go to Weaver's Department Store for your Mayberry purchases. BY
supporting Weaver's you are supporting TAGSRWC and all of the great work Jim
Clark does for the fans. Then, if you are still looking for something else that
is
"Mayberry" related, come on over to the Mayberry Emporium.
So much for a quick note!! Thanks,
Gary
