Re: Barney accidentally discharging his firearm.
In the third season there was a commercial for Jello pudding in which Barney
accidentally shot a hole in Andy's kitchen water line. You have to own the
DVD's to see it, they would never show it on TVLand. I believe they would have
begun to take out the accidental discharge of Barney's firearm if Barney had
stayed past the 5th season. The show began to be more politically correct
after season 5. They never showed anyone drunk after season 5, and Andy lost
the hillbilly accent by then too. Oh well, things change and time passes on.
While I am here, on the question of who said "I can disturb the peace with the
best of them", that was old Jud Fletcher in the episode "Andy Saves Barney's
Morale", Season 1, Episode 20. That was the same show where Andy uttered those
immortal words "Nice dress Nellie".
