I too enjoyed an idyllic childhood in the 50s and wouldn't trade it for
anything. But I sure do appreciate air-conditioning, DVDs and email! I
guess I'm spoiled, but I really cannot living without these wonderful
conveniences. Would I trade them for the peace of mind we had in the 50s,
despite the Cold War? You betcha'!
