>>I've always been impressed with the quality of phone service in Mayberry.
>>Efficient, courteous, dependable. Good to know that Hooterville is finally
>>achieving that same level of quality. According to Fred Ziffle, ar one time
>>Hooterville was using soup cans and string for telephoning. Said Fred, "We
>>used
>>tomato for local, chicken noodle for long distance, and minestrone for
>>international.
>>When phones got rusty and reception sounded bad, we'd go to Drucker's and buy
>>a new one for two-bits at lunchtime."

If only the phone company could come up with another 75 feet of wire so that I
could have my phone INSIDE the house instead of having to climb that
@#$*&^&*!~&%^#$ pole!!!
