Never could figure out why Wally's gas station didn't have a long line of
cars
waiting for gas, other than when Flora was working in her slacks. People
sure wasted a lot of gas just driving around in circles all over Mayberry. I
often see
some guy in a 1959 Chevy driving around and around and he is often parked on
Main Street. He must have never gone home. Then there is the other guy
who drives that sporty old black convertible with the white top. He too
spent a lot
of time just driving around Mayberry. Maybe Jeff Pruitt told them that there
were a lot of pretty girls on the corners just waiting to be picked up. Of
course
gas was just 30 cents a ding back then.
