All this talk about Falcons brought back an old High School memory. Our high school mascot was the falcon and I was asked to design a cover for our school newspaper, so I decided to do the falcon. Well I did and it was printed. There was also a disclaimer by the paper editor saying that the picture on the cover was supposed to be a falcon and not a pregnant chicken. My cover didn't appear the entire year. How many times did it appear? Well, actually just that once. It was way ahead of its times. Too controversial. Schools weren't allowed to talk about pregnancy back in 1962.

For those of you who question the authenticity of this story. I can verify that it is 100 % true. If I could find my original copy I would send you an official verification.

Actually my mother had a nice 1960 Falcon at one time too. It was a light tan. Great little car. But she wouldn't let me use it to go to the duck pond. Actually we didn't have a duck pond for parking. We used the town dump. Now wasn't that romantic. No wonder I could never get a second date with anyone. I was truly "down in the dumps" in those days.
