Last night on American Idol, one contestant brought her little dog into the audition room. She explained that she had recently taken the dog to the groomer, and she asked for "a haircut that didn't look like a haircut" (not in those exact words). Trained noticers will remember that this phrase was used twice on TAGS, once by Andy when explaining his haircut to Opie (it had something to do with Aunt Bee's dressing table) and once by Floyd, referring to Roger Courtney of the Esquire Club. I wonder if maybe after Floyd clipped all the cats in Mayberry County, he started practicing on dogs? Or perhaps this girl sent her dog to that poodle trimmer in Mt. Pilot.
