"Later we went to Pilot Mountain State Park and we drove up the mountain to the lookout area, but could not see anything due to the fog. We did not get to see the top of Pilot Mountain from the ground, either, due to fog. Then we drove into Virginia to the Blue Ridge Parkway, but did not drive very far on it because of the fog. We did take some pictures of the beautiful mountain scenery, though."
