Thelma Lou wasn't the only one who did magic tricks. How about Barney
making his badge disappear and reappear all the time and how about his hair
getting all messed up and then combed and then all messed up and then combed
when he recited the Preamble to the Constitution. But then seeing that
amazing magical card trick that Cousin Virgil did I imagine it is just
something in the genes. And there is Jim Lindsey's great magical trick of
playing electric guitars without ever plugging them in or even putting his
fingers on the strings. Now that is real magic. Or what about Floyd being
able to improve his vision by wearing glasses without lenses. But to me the
most amazing trick of all is how the Taylors manage to keep all the
mosquitoes and flies out of their house with all those windows wide open and
no screens. That Mayberry is indeed a truly Magical Place.
