Goober strikes me as the kind of guy who buys and sells a lot of used cars, for example the convertible he sold to Aunt Bee later on. So he probably often had a car or two available to lend to a friend, such as Barney. There's no evidence that Andy ever owned a truck. True, we see one in his driveway in episode #1, but since it's never seen again it's likely he had merely borrowed it.
