Because I never spoke to him, i kept silent. bUt in 1972 i called Walter Baldwin the original Floyd Lawson (God forbid) and a woman answered. She was most uncooperative. She let it be known she didnt share my interest in the veteran character actors career. He was 83 at the time. All she said was "I dont remember" whenever i asked if mr. Baldwin would comment on a given role. And I never got to ask about his one shot at playing Floyd. I knew i was on the loosing end so i hung up. Well a few years later I wrote Sheldon Leronard and told him about my one fateful call to Mr. Baldwin. "Im not at all surprised, Tom. He was troublesome for us on TAGS thats why we were wise to get Howard McNear. > My reaction. THANK GOD. .Smart move Mr. Leonard.. >From what a few others from the Digest told me, I see why he was troubleome. Now for anyone out there be it Ken or Gritton Joe , I feel silly asking but ill make this short. Its a color episode with Goober and Andy in the courthouse. Goober is depressed and as he walks out of the courthouse with Andy's arm on his shoulder, Andy Griffith lets loose with a well known quote that he used to good advanage with humor. The quote is something like. oh forgive me for botching this line,Things may look bad now but one of these days the rain will stop and the sun will shine through your front door" Or words to that effect. Can anyone give me the correct quote? ITs a funny one liner. Tom Kessel., Col.Tim's protege reject. God Bless you All. _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list [email protected] http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
