Well Goodbye Dolly is right. Firgive me but i never cared for this episode, clearly a low in the ever popular TAGS series.I never cared for snimal stories in comedy.Well enough said of this. But ah up next on tvland tonight was Opies Piano Lesson. Now i just cherish and get a thrill out of a well played scene that im sure brings many a smile to fans. We have Aunt Bee and MRs Larch (Uncle Ollies former wife Nora aka Maudie Prickett ) did Maude ever have a different hairstyle the last 25 years of her life, upstairs in i think Bees bedroom knitting while Arnold (What a pesty kid ) is at the piano subbing for a conniving Opie. Look folks at the classic bitof utter gullibility & facial expressions of both fine actesses as they liston contently to what they think is Opie playing the piano.Their eyes glistens and their voice rise with each striking keynote accenting their delight. They actually believe thats Opie.A sense of sudden pride and joy turns to grave disappintmrnt ending with Aunt Bee uttering "How can a boy play a piano for another boy" Her innocence &ignorance is doubly matched by Andy Taylors brilliant deadpan disgusted look at her as if to say "You got to be kidding." That one scene is brilliant.But the two women upstairs thats the topper.Every kerynote is accented by another sense of pride in their faces to sheer comedy .Just another observation to be aware of. .Thank you for reading my thoughts.
