Though it has been mentioned on the board previously, another episode in which
weather conditions were outside the norm is Black Day for Mayberry (the "secret
gold truck" show). As we all know, it's raining when the truck makes its way
into downtown Mayberry. Also, in Quiet Sam we see quite a storm brewing when we
see a shot of Sam working in his fields(if memory serves me correctly; I didn't
actually review the episode).

On a totally different topic: I don't recall that I've ever shared the
following story with the kind folks here on this board (if I have, chalk it up
to old age and sorry about repeating myself):

I don't remember the exact year this happened, but I believe it was in the
early 90's. Don Knotts was doing a one man tour/show, the kind where the
celebrity simply comes on stage and talks about his career and then takes
questions from the audience. I was lucky enough to be called on by Don to ask a
question. I asked this: There are several characters in TAGS who never speak or
actually appear on camera. The two most prominent are Sarah (phone operator)
and Juanita (Barney's backup girlfriend). To help you as an actor, did you
conjure up an image of what Juanita might have looked like those many times you
"talked" to her on the telephone?

Don smiled (the audience chuckled) and said, "To be honest, I've never even
thought about it. But now that you bring it up, I would see Juanita as being
the opposite of Thelma Lou...probably very dark hair. Dyed black hair. And a
little on the heavy side, wearing a waitress uniform. But I'm sure most people
had their OWN idea on what the unseen characters looked like. That was another
aspect of the show that made it interesting and a bit different." (this quote,
of course, isn't verbatim....but it's darn close)

Has there ever been speculation on the board as to what Juanita or Sarah might
have looked like?
