Hey,Mayberry friends.I have seen a photo of my grandfather wearing overalls with a white shirt and tie. Overalls were very popular back then. Also, my mother had dozens of photos from the 30's and 40's and earlier. In almost every instance the men wore ties and some sort of hat. As for myself, I haven't been comfortable in a tie since I saw a hanging.
