Now the question of Mrs. Lesh's umbrella brings up a very interesting point.
If you remember umbrellas were a very important accessory to carry with you
over in the old country of England. But they were not only carried for the
benefit of protection against rain, but they were also a good protection
against bodily harm. For in the tip of the umbrella there was quite often
hid a very sharp and deadly knife which could be ejected by a switch on the
umbrella handle. Now considering the line of work old Hubcaps Lesh was in,
and considering she was quite petite it is my opinion that she carried the
umbrella for the second reason. If you recall she also had a mean swing to
that umbrella when she hit Jake after finding out they brought back the car
they sold to Barney.
