I thought I'd weigh in.  99% of the time I put sea salt on watermelon.  As time
has gone by I have been spoiled and only eat seedless watermelons.  Never was
good at spitting.  Like Ron (or was it his dad) I put pepper on cantalope.  I
did it as a kid because my granddad did it and now I like it that way.  My
grandmother would put butter on a radish.  I do that sometimes when the
radishes are really hot.  It's really pretty good, the fat in the butter
cancels out some of the heat.  My dearly departed mother-in-law would often
serve radishes just to watch me do it.  I guess I just have weird dietary
habits, always liked pepperoni and green olive pizzas.

P.S.  Sure sorry I was unable to attend the Salem Red Sox game Saturday night
to see the Mayberry Deputy.  We had a previous commitment, but I'm sure there
was a good crowd.
