I had a nice visit today with Tom Rusk and his wife from South Carolina They
stopped here in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on their way to the Taylor Home Inn.
What a great thing to be able to visit personally right here in my very own
home with a big fan such as Tom. And such a nice couple they are. My only
disappointment was that they didn't show up in their squad car with the
bubble gum light flashing and the siren blaring. Here in the Midwest it
sometimes gets rather lonely not being close to all the big Mayberry events,
so it is a real honor and privilege when someone takes the time to stop in
and say hello. I am sure they will thoroughly enjoy their stay at the Inn.
I knew right from the start they were special people as my sometimes
reclusive cat sat between them on the couch and they rubbed her toes and
scratched her head. Now that was a great testimony by itself.
