I'm thinking why we didn't see Andy & Barney munching on doughnuts was because
"Lard Lad Donuts" of Springfield had yet to branch out beyond the
Springfield/Shelbyville area. Seems that Mayberry has a way of always being a
day late and a dollar short...
... Greendale got their own "Lard Lad" back in 2004 and have expanded their tax
revenues (and waistlines) ten-fold!
