My wife and I have been off all week and I haven't been keeping up with the
digest. I did want to report that today we got up early and drove down to
Mount Airy, NC to spend a day in Mayberry. We had a great time. The Andy
Griffith Museum was fantastic and we were lucky enough to meet Mr. Emmitt
Forest. We thanked him for everything he has done to bring the museum together
and to keep Mayberry alive. He was such a nice, delightful man and it was an
honor to meet him. We had a fine lunch at Barney's Cafe and toured the Main
St. shops. Drove by Wally's Fillin' Station and Andy's boyhood home. It's a
great day trip for those living nearby. If you haven't been, it's worth the
trip.
