Every small town has certain families that are associated with the town. When
ever I hear a certain family name mentioned I immediately say "That bunch is
from over by Maysville". Mayberry had its' share of movers and shakers. One
family that was prominent was the Beasleys. One time Andy even misidentified
Goober as a Beasley. There were several Beasleys mentioned on TAGS. However,
the Beasleys did not always have good fortune. There came a time when a young
man who was dating Andrew Beasley's daughter, jilted her, took up with another
young lady, and later married that young lady.
Now for the question. What was the name of this young man who jilted Andrew
Beasley's daughter, and what was the name of the girl he eventually married?

win the hand of my beloved Martha. I always tell Martha sometimes I wonder who
