Apparently, it was his real name according to sources I've read. He was born Denver Dell Pyle on 11 May 1920 into a farming family in Kit Carson County, Colorado. He died 25 December 1997 and is buried in Texas. I *think* he's one of us, but Barney may have his opinions on this matter.
