>the big day came they counted down the time and gave Opie the money at 3:00
>P.M. and not 3:05.

That's because Barney reminded Andy that Opie had already been in the
courthouse for at least 5 minutes when Andy determined what time to start the
"wait." And they waited one week. That's the law.

I believe the one line poem was recited by Opie. Casabianca is the name of the
poem. The first line is "The boy stood on the burning deck."

All this HUNT-ing for Mr. Schwump begs the question of is he still alive? I
seriously doubt it. Add 50 years to whatever age he was at the time and there
you go.......He may not have any living relatives either. Remember Frances
Bavier didn't have any.

Everyone is certainly welcome to spend their hard earned money searching for
him and any other ways they want but whatever spare change I have will go to
Alan for all his hard work maintaining the web site, the podcast, the special
Christmas cards, and all the other endeavors he takes on besides his full time
job as husband, father and computer extraordinaire. Thank you Alan.

......"Johnny Paul Jason says chewing tar is good for your teeth"..."That's an
old wives tale"...."Johnny Paul ain't married"........
