Allan: I hope this at least barely qualifies as TAGS related since someone
brought up (and answered about) Ellie Walker's schoolin'. Though I certainly
don't know everything and have repeatedly proven that I don't qualify as a
Trained Noticer, I do know something about medical/health related degrees. To
my knowledge (at least at the great Univ. of North Carolina) pharmacists in the
past would receive a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree but you could continue on and
do a pharmacy residency and receive a PharmD degree which was considered a
doctorate degree in pharmacy. In the United States the degree Bachelor of
Pharmacy has been done away with and every pharmacist graduating now receives a
PharmD or Doctor of Pharmacy degree. I think this holds true for the entire
U.S. If I'm not mistaken the entire PharmD program is longer (more training)
than the old bachelors degree BUT I could be mistaken. Bob (M.D.)
