I'm sure other auto enthusiasts will have a more specific answer than me, but
my
recollection is that the Gold Truck was an IHC (International Harvester
Company).  IHC's primary business was farm machinery, but they also
manufactured
pickups and trucks for several years--at least through the mid 1970's, since my
grandfather bought a brand new four-wheel drive IHC pickup in early 1974.  My
Dad had a 1957 IHC pickup in the early 1960's and my recollection is that the
front looked very similar to the gold truck, so I would suspect that the gold
truck was a late 1950's or early 1960's model.

In 1985, IHC merged with Case and is now known as Case IH.

I do know the gas cap was always clearly marked as such on all IHC's that we
had!
