I thought I'd add to Ken's list of things he misses about growing up in a small town:
I miss playing kick the can until it was too dark to see the can; Watching baseball on a field rimed by a corn field; Shopping for Mom at the Clover Farm store; The town knowing it took a village to raise a child, long before it became popular; dime pop; HS basketball games on Friday night; Party lines; and finally having a big town like Mount Pilot to go to on a Saturday night.
