While we're on the subject of words, I would like to point out another common error that pops up from time to time. Folks here sometimes discuss The Cow Thief episode, in which Mayor Stoner accuses Andy of having "hair brained ideas."
This too is incorrect. The correct word is HAREBRAINED. I know many folks don't care one way or the other, but some of us are sticklers when it comes to grammar and spelling. I hope I don't get a rude for pointing this out. And speaking of this episode, does it strike anyone else as odd that when the man and the cow walked through the mudhole, each of the six feet involed left exactly one footprint? I would have expected dozens of footprints in that large muddy area.
