Don, your comment reminds me of something. I cannot believe how much stronger
I have gotten in the last 50 years. When I was a small boy, myself and my
sister would go grocery shopping with my mother. Mother would buy the large
majority of the groceries that we would be needing for the coming month all at
one time, since my father was only paid once a month. Hard as it is to believe
now, about $40 worth of groceries would feed our family of four for the entire
month.
But getting back to my feat of strength. 50 years ago, it took myself, my
sister, and my mother to carry those $40 worth of groceries. Now a days I can
carry $40 worth of groceries with only one hand. Must be all the working out I
do.
