That's a great point, Untrained Voice!  I've many memories of being hunkered 
(or 'scrunched' as Andy would say) down in a cellar, waiting for the tornado to 
pass.  My prayers for all who have been going through this horrible event.  

I agree about the A/C and how going indoors can tend to isolate folks from one 
another.  The prices we pay for progress!  
I wonder if a few places had A/C, or maybe the water cooled window variety, 
while most had electric fans?  I seem to recall Floyd making reference to 
electric fans when Barney had the hiccups.  
I remember Opie having his shirt off ('naked savage'), and even Aunt Bee's 
freezer was warm.
