Don Knotts always recollected that his 5 years on TAGS were the BEST of his
life. Three's Company just proved to be a steady acting gig. "Ralph Furley" was
just an older extension of "Barney Fife", with all of the various "nervous
guy",
"scare takes", and "ego" mannerisms that Knotts specialized in. You can tell
that John Ritter loved working with Knotts, acknowledging his comedic legend at
the time. (Remember, Barney once mentioned Ritter's dad, Tex Ritter on TAGS.)
Interestingly, Furley's brother Bart was played by TAGS actor Hamilton Camp.
