While I was watching a TAGS episode the other day, I got to thinking. We all
know that Barney and Warren were the only two official deputies, but there were
lots of people who wore the deputy uniform. A few of the names will surprise
you. Can you remember all the people who wore the deputy uniform? And I
mean even a part of it, for instance when Barney was on vacation one time, Opie
wore the deputy cap.
Orville Hendricks - Selling Butter and Eggs in Mt. Pilot. The only time I
ever wore a uniform was when I was in the big war. But I was not a librarian
on Long Island.
