Now that is a good question and one I never thunk about myself. If she would have stopped and asked for directions she would have been led to either the barber shop or Floyd's humble home. Likewise, if she would have checked the phone book, she would have found his home address, if the Mayberry phone book did indeed have addresses. Seeing she had that fancy rented car maybe there was a telephone in it and she called Floyd from it and he gave her the directions to the borrowed house. Then again we didn't see Barney in the episode, so perhaps he met he at the city limits in the squad car and he gave her an escort like he did Melissa Stevens. But then we would have heard the siren approaching, so guess that theory isn't very good. Wait a minute. I got it. It was our friend "The Count". He led her using telepathy and extra sensitive percection.
