Somewher is the recent discussion of a new Deputy, I have not seen Jerry Van Dyke mentioned. As I recall Jerry turned down a recurring role on TAGS to star in his own show, My Mother the Car, that turned out to be a dud..and I understand he later regreted teh choice.
He did play in a couple episodes..the last black and whites as Jerry Miller, the one man Band and deputy apprentice In that same color episode mentioned about the treasure map, the guy who sold the crook the tickets was supposedly some famous actor, per a former member.
